ENDOSCOPY
★ সিলেটে আর কোথাও নেইUpper GI endoscopy (গ্যাস্ট্রোস্কোপি) — খাদ্যনালী, পাকস্থলী ও ডুওডেনামের ভেতরের ছবি HD ভিডিও ক্যামেরা দিয়ে সরাসরি দেখে পরীক্ষা ও চিকিৎসা। Olympus CV-170 / CV-190 HD সিস্টেম, Narrow Band Imaging (NBI) সহ।
কখন দরকার: দীর্ঘদিনের অ্যাসিডিটি/বুকজ্বালা, গিলতে কষ্ট, পাকস্থলীর ব্যথা, বমি/রক্ত বমি, কালো পায়খানা, ওজন কমে যাওয়া, আলসার বা টিউমার সন্দেহ।
কী কী করা হয়: আলসার ও ক্ষত নির্ণয়, টিস্যু বায়োপসি, পলিপ/ছোট টিউমার অপসারণ, রক্তক্ষরণ বন্ধ (injection/ক্লিপ), H. pylori পরীক্ষা — অস্ত্রোপচার ছাড়াই।
প্রস্তুতি: পরীক্ষার আগে ৮ ঘণ্টা খালি পেটে থাকতে হবে; ডায়াবেটিস/ব্লাড থিনার ওষুধ নিয়ে ডাক্তারের পরামর্শ নিন।
কারা করেন: অভিজ্ঞ গ্যাস্ট্রোএন্টেরোলজিস্ট — সিলেট এমএজি ওসমানী মেডিকেল কলেজের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক।
কতক্ষণ লাগে: ১০–১৫ মিনিট, হালকা sedation-এ; ১–২ ঘণ্টা পর্যবেক্ষণের পর বাড়ি যাওয়া যায়। রিপোর্ট পরীক্ষার পরপরই, বায়োপসি হলে ৩–৫ দিনে।
ঘুমের ওষুধে আরামদায়ক (Sedation): আমাদের আধুনিক এই মেশিনে পরীক্ষা-চিকিৎসার পুরো সময় রোগী হালকা ঘুমের ওষুধে শান্তিতে ঘুমিয়ে থাকেন — কোনো ব্যথা, ভয় বা অস্বস্তি নেই। ঘুমন্ত অবস্থাতেই অভিজ্ঞ চিকিৎসক সম্পূর্ণ পরীক্ষা ও প্রয়োজনীয় চিকিৎসা — আলসার/ক্ষতের চিকিৎসা, টিস্যু বায়োপসি, পলিপ বা ছোট টিউমার অপসারণ, রক্তক্ষরণ বন্ধ — সব করে দেন। পরীক্ষা শেষে রোগী ধীরে ধীরে জেগে ওঠেন, ঘুম থেকে ওঠার মতোই আরামে — কোনো কষ্ট ছাড়াই।

কখন দরকার: দীর্ঘদিনের কোষ্ঠকাঠিন্য/ডায়রিয়া, মলের সঙ্গে রক্ত, মিউকাস, পেট ব্যথা, ফ্যামিলি হিস্ট্রিতে কোলন ক্যান্সার, ৪৫+ বয়সে রুটিন স্ক্রিনিং।
কী কী করা হয়: পলিপ অপসারণ (polypectomy), টিস্যু বায়োপসি, প্রদাহজনিত রোগ (IBD) নির্ণয়, কোলন ক্যান্সার স্ক্রিনিং ও প্রিভেনশন — অস্ত্রোপচার ছাড়াই।
প্রস্তুতি: আগের দিন শুধু তরল খাবার + ডাক্তারের দেওয়া bowel preparation ওষুধ; পরীক্ষার দিন সকালে আরও ২–৩ লিটার পানি।
কারা করেন: অভিজ্ঞ গ্যাস্ট্রোএন্টেরোলজিস্ট — সিলেট এমএজি ওসমানী মেডিকেল কলেজের সহযোগী অধ্যাপক।
কতক্ষণ লাগে: ২০–৩০ মিনিট, হালকা sedation-এ; পরীক্ষার দিনই বাড়ি যাওয়া যায়। রিপোর্ট পরীক্ষার পরপরই, বায়োপসি হলে ৩–৫ দিনে।
